this {is} why

To love people.

Thanks for visiting Love{All}People!  This space is centered around sharing stories.  I love to write about people who can’t sit still any longer.  Who have to move.  Who can’t ignore injustice.  Who are inspiring people, rendering art, and journeying through what it means to love those around them.  I’m a believer in following those who move, act, and put their love into practice.  I want to inspire others to lead like them, to stand up, stop talking, and start loving their communities in an actionable manner.

This town is starting to grow on me.

I live in Indianapolis, and I love the people here.  It’s never the buildings or restaurants or green spaces that make a town great, it’s the people.  Everything else simply adds flavor.  Indy is really different.  I’ve not experienced another city like it.

A little about my heart.

I am living at peace in light of and in response to an overabundance of overwhelming grace despite my flaws and imperfections.  Within the journey, the narrowest of all paths, I find solace.  I’ve found the love and mercy of Jesus worthy of a committed response, and I live my moments in constant awe of salvation, longing deeply for a life fully characterized by authentic faith.  Luke warm living frustrates me.  I see it in my own life far too often…

People matter, acquiring more stuff doesn’t

I have a beautiful wife.  She is the love of my life.  She brings a light into my world that is indescribable, and I am so grateful for her love and compassion.  People are important.  I am trying to figure out what to do with my stuff.

Writing Is An Expression of Experience.

I write because it helps me to define, pin point, and challenge my weaknesses, norms, and perspectives.  I don’t want to get stuck, yet most of what I write comes when I am.  I write in order to remind myself to keep moving, striving, and growing.  Hopefully it will inspire you to do the same.
