To Prague With Love

When was the last time you lived fully alive? Think about it. When was the last time you completely understood that what you were currently engaged in was exactly what you were designed to do, regardless of how challenging or wearing it may have been?

Looking back, Quinn and I remember the moments of total dedication to the service and love of other people as those times when we were fully alive. No matter where we were in the world, if we were completely focused on asserting our time and energy and resources into sharing the gospel and loving people around us, we were really living. We were fully alive.

In light of this, Quinn and I are going to Prague, Czech Republic, to love people, serve the local church there, and share the love of Christ with everyone we come in contact with.

We will be leaving on May 2nd for a six week stay in the heart of the city to help the local church in Prague and creatively love and serve the people in the surrounding communities. We are excited for the opportunity to venture overseas as it has been our ambition for some time now to share in what the Lord is doing internationally and be a part of sharing the love of Jesus with people all over the world.

We are highly anticipating this adventure, and we are completely trusting the Lord as He leads our every step. Surely, He is directing us down His path, and we are confidently moving forward with Him as our guide. We are leaving everything behind–friends, family, job, house–and following the Lord to Prague.

Please pray for us and the friends we will make and share life with in Prague.

Live Fully Alive.

Sweet man. Hope you like it there. It’s changed a lot since I lived there, but it’s still Prague. Still beautiful and still a pretty dark place. Thanks for serving.

Joel–I hope we like it there too. We’ve heard a lot of great things about it, but we also understand that it is, as you say, “A dark place.” I’m sure it will be a faith stretching and building experience, and we are jumping in full force. If you have anything else you’d like to share about Prague, please feel free to contact me using the tab at the top of the page under “This Is Why.” I’d love to get as much info regarding the people and the area as possible. Thanks again Joel.

I just learned today that the two of you are serving there. I really must be honest. I am super jealous of all that you will see the Lord do and all you will get to do. I hope that your hearts are changed forever. Peace to you.

    Lord,

I beg your watchful eye to be upon Parke and Quinn, keep them safe and free of all fear. I beg that you would show them even today the good that you have for them for the rest of their lives as they submit to your leading. Show them your face Lord in the faces of all the people they see. We will miss them until their return and we ask you to keep them in your arms. I ask that you Lord would show them a miracle today.

    In Jesus Holy Name

    Allen & Ben,

We are so grateful for your prayers. We are living more at peace in light of them and in response to them. Please continue to pray for the people here, that hearts would be softened toward the message of Christ.

Thanks for everything. We look forward to meeting with you soon :)
