News Gives You The Blues

cI haphazardly bumped into MSNBC (insert any other media network of your choice) on a public TV this afternoon so I decided to listen intently (for at least a good 3 minutes and 25 seconds!) so as to catch up on what was happening in the world.

No exaggeration, in that small time frame, this is what I heard:  Down Market, Recession, Depression, Negative draw, Failed, Gloomy, Bad, Out-of-control, Problematic, Stalled, Bail-out, Crashed, Horrendous, In trouble, Low, Looks like trouble and Diminished returns.

Blah, blah, blah, blah blah…

Crucial point:  The environment that you place yourself in (and yes, what you commit your mind’s attention to is an environment) will determine how you think, act and thus, who you eventually will become.  Pay close attention to whom you listen to and with whom you surround yourself with.  They will rub off on you.  The media will rub off on you.  My advice?  Don’t take yours from the news media.
