Indy Living
Change is almost always something that requires great stretching and extending of our wills, our mindsets and our attitudes. Let’s just say that we have been doing a lot of stretching this past year! Just recently my wife and I were sitting, taking a moment to relax and remember the past year and what all had occured within it. It was just a little over a year ago that I moved almost 600 miles away from Quinn in order to attend grad school for Purdue at their IUPUI campus. We spent an entire year away from each other, going through everyday events and trials without one another. For sure, one of the most difficult and challenging experiences of my life. Only seeing your fiance once every 5 weeks, for a weekend at a time, is not the greatest way to continue a serious relationship just before your wedding day!
Either way, we got through it all and are more appreciative of our time together today. Also this past year Quinn graduated from Appalachian State University with degree in Environmental Biology and Ecology, and I was able to complete my masters this past June. We got married on June 28th, and we moved everything that we own to our new place on the NW side of Indianapolis, just by the Eagle Creek Reservoir. We went on a month long honey moon all up and down the West coast, and now we are meeting new people and making new friends. We are attempting new jobs and becoming parts of completely brand new networks and business opportunities. We are looking for every new opportunity and creating a few of our own. Through it all, we have experienced many different emotions and mindsets, and we are continuing to seek out our role in the Indianapolis area, attempting to discover why we are here (in Indy of all the places!) and what it is that we can do to make a difference in people’s lives who surround us daily. Overall, we are finding that Indianapolis is a great place to be, and we are genuinely excited about making an impact in this city! Thanks to everyone for all of their help and encouragement throughout this time of transition, anticipation and adventure.
